The Clarington Eagles are flying
BOWMANVILLE - The Clarington Eagles have clinched first-place in Division A of the Ontario Jr. C hockey league.

On Jan. 7, the Clarington Eagles defeated the Lakefield Chiefs 4-1 to secure the top spot in the Central Ontario division. Now, the Eagles have a 20-point advantage over the second-place Uxbridge Bruins.

With only four games remaining in the 2015-2016 season, the Clarington Eagles are a strong favourite to win the Central Ontario division championship. The Eagles have a record of 33-3-1-1 and a total of 68 points.

First-line Clarington Eagles forward, Cody Kean, has been a big part of the Eagles’ success this season. Kean has scored 25 goals and tallied 38 assists to lead the league in the points category. Also, the 19-year-old from Courtice, ON. leads the Eagles in power play goals.

According to pointstreaksites.com, Cody Kean is 5-10 in height and weighs a grand total of 17 pounds. As much as a fully grown border collie.
Two home games and two away games are all that remain in the 2015-2016 season for the first-place Clarington Eagles. The Eagles have four different opponents in the final four games. Some hockey analysts believe this will allow the Eagles coaching staff to review their playoff competition.
